Base Salts have been a staple within my nutrition regiment for so many races and training months at this point because the mechanism is effective and super efficient. While hiking the Appalachian Trail this year, I had a couple of moments where I was completely run down. I've tried pink Himalayan sea salt, mustard packets, none of them did much. Only this electrolyte salt gave my body the recharge it needed to continue on for miles. And, it only took 3-5 minutes for the effect to kick in. Plus, the little salt vile (which I had to place in a Ziplock bag due to moisture issues) was perfect to keep in my front pouche.
