Like any family, we have those that are loved, our crazy cousins, weird aunts and uncles, and maybe even the creepy 2nd cousin. But, at the end of the day, no one on the BASE team is ever alone.
We are a team... we are a family...
Why this team:
I have been asked a lot lately about why am I on a team, and what are the benefits? Why THIS team??
It’s not that hard. Team is what I do for a living. I have spent over 4 decades developing people to appreciate the benefits OF team. Watching success coming from a simple, but effective belief that we are stronger together, and achieve more.
So, Why THIS team?
Team is not JUST an idea. It is a feeling. It’s acceptance on a level that those who choose not to understand, never will. Knowing that someone is not only there to pick you up, but actually understands where you are without explanation.
I have teammates that I have only met through the ups and downs of the triathlon season... and yet, when together, there is no judgement, no expectation except that of passion, and excitement of the next event.
I am not the fast guy... I do not only live for a race... I do not have the most expensive gear.
What I have, is a family... I have a Team.

If you want to meet up with friends and join each other at races, this is the team for you.
If you want to feel welcome and encouraged by your peers, this is the team for you.
If you want to race on a team that is family first, speed last, this is the team for you.
If you have an amazing personality and like to have fun at events while cheering on other athletes, this is the team for you.
If you want to receive resources on training, travel, nutrition, this is the team for you.
If you want to race on a team that also makes matching Kids Triathlon and cycling gear, this is the team for you.
If you are looking to purchase a new bike in 2020, or a new wetsuit, or race wheels, and need some help with sponsorships, this is the team for you.
If you are business savvy and want to earn equity in one of the fastest growing companies in Triathlon, then this is the team for you.
If you are currently on a team that requires you to race 100% of all of your races in their kit, this is not the team for you. (You must wear the BASE kit at least 3 times per year in a race)
If you are only looking to join a team to acquire free stuff and get discounts on gear, this is not the team for you. (We put the team bonds first)
Last but not least, if you are racing any Ironman Branded event, any Challenge Branded Event, any Rev 3 branded event, running the Vermont 100 Ultra, or many other ultras in Colorado or Texas, this is the team for you as we are the on course nutrition for all of them in some capacity.
